Home & School Association

HSA is a parent support association, much like PTO or PTA. We raise funds to finance classroom items, school equipment, experiences, field trips, and much more. We also host social events for SJCS families and show our appreciation to staff throughout the year.

ALL parents, guardians, and teachers are welcome and encouraged to attend HSA meetings! Having a child at the school automatically makes you a member- there are no dues or membership requirements.

A typical meeting agenda includes hearing and voting on teacher funding requests, a financial update, planning for special events (social, hospitality, and fundraising), deciding on future projects, and hearing input and ideas from both board and general members.

Whether you’d like to volunteer to chair or support a project, make your voice heard on an HSA issue, or simply listen to hear how we are spending HSA money and time- you are welcome to participate at any level that works for you! We hope you’ll join us.
