Why Give to St. John Catholic School?

Why support St. John Catholic School?

  • “Catholic schools infuse beliefs, values and standards that children will carry all their lives. They produce a safe learning environment for those from high-crime neighborhoods, as well as, structure and a faith- and values-based education. Catholic schools create a sense of community and an expectation that every child can and will achieve his or her goals” - The Wall Street Journal

  • SJCS maintains high standards of academic excellence. The core curriculum emphasizes literacy, critical thinking, and problem solving

  • Low Student-Teacher ratio with an average class size of 11 students

  • Availability to meet the needs of all learners through individualized instruction.

“Teachers go the extra mile to ensure no slower student is left behind and no advanced student goes unchallenged.” – SJCS parent

As a private (non-profit) school within the Diocese of Tulsa and Eastern Oklahoma, and the Parish of St. John Before the Latin Gate, St. John School does not receive local, state or federal dollars. Thus, each year the school must raise funds required to continue its mission and service to its students. This is accomplished through scholarships, private contributions, grants, St. John and St. James Parish support, community support, corporate funds, and school fundraisers.

It is through the very generous donations and continued support of community patrons, such as you, that St. John Catholic School continues to grow and serve its community.
