Grandfriends Day is coming up on May 6th. We are so excited to be bringing this fun event back!
Join us, May 6th, evening on the school playground for the celebration of the feast day of St. John. Knights of Columbus will be grilling and the Catholic Women's Association will be providing goodies. Bring a lawn chair and listen to Fr. John's band. All are welcome!
We would like to invite you to celebrate Mr. Tomlinson at his retirement party on Monday, May 16th from 4:30 to 5:30. This will be a come and go party in Father Lynch Hall. Please let us know if you have any questions.
○● OK Empowerment Act: if passed as is, it will allow for your education tax dollars to follow your child wherever they attend school.
Going forward, volunteer signups will be on the Connect1 app, so please sign up for that if you haven't already! It's also a great way to notify us of talents or skills that you have to offer, and ways you'd like to be involved with HSA. https://app.connect1.io/volunteers/j6Oe91BF5
Thank you, and as usual, please email with any questions.
New parents, visit the Quick Links on the Parents page.
The Parents button is on the website menu bar above.
The Home and School Association, our version of PTO (Parent Teacher Organization), coordinates the parental support to St. John Catholic School’s activities, social functions, and fundraisers.
The HSA manages the operating fund and other assets of the Association for the use and benefit of the Association and School.
Home & School Association General Meetings
Thursday, April 14th Time: 7:00 PM
Location: Braymer Room (in Father Lynch Hall)
HSA is a parent support association, much like PTO or PTA. We raise funds to finance classroom items, school equipment, experiences, field trips, and much more. We also host social events for SJCS families and show our appreciation to staff throughout the year.
ALL parents, guardians, and teachers are welcome and encouraged to attend HSA meetings! Having a child at the school automatically makes you a member- there are no dues or membership requirements.
A typical meeting agenda includes hearing and voting on teacher funding requests, a financial update, planning for special events (social, hospitality, and fundraising), deciding on future projects, and hearing input and ideas from both board and general members.
Whether you’d like to volunteer to chair or support a project, make your voice heard on an HSA issue, or simply listen to hear how we are spending HSA money and time- you are welcome to participate at any level that works for you! We hope you’ll join us.
Meetings are generally held on the second Thursday of the month, unless there is a scheduling conflict (noted below). Masks are required at in-person HAS meetings at this time. There will also be a Zoom option for each meeting.

The purpose of the St. John Catholic Home and School Association (HSA) is to foster the primary role of the parent in education by promoting open communication, good will and cooperation between and among the parents, teachers, administration, school board, and the community of St. John parish. The Association contributes to the educational activities which develop and deepen a mutual understanding of Catholic education.
