Saint John Catholic School Archery 2016

On Wednesday February 24, sixth grader Hank Gilbert went to the Oklahoma State Archery Meet.

Hank scored a total of 188 points. He came in 33rd out of 150 students.

Mr. Gilbert stated that before the competition, he felt nervous and intimidated by the large number of kids. He also said that he felt nervous during the competition, but after two shots, he “got into it.”

After the competition, Hank said that he felt like he did a pretty good job because of how many people he was able to beat.

We asked Hank if there was anything he wanted to say about the experience or archery, and his response was, “Archery is like life, if you mess up, you die.”
