Early Childhood Program

The St. John Pre-Kindergarten classes are Pre-K (3) (Early Childhood Program) and Pre-K(4).  Birthdays are prior to September 1st and are whole day programs. We have done extensive planning to create these wonderful programs.

 

All children attending St. John Catholic School must be fully potty trained before they may attend. Download the Potty Training Policy below.

The Pre-K classrooms have been furnished with smaller sized tables, chairs, and activity centers that are just right for children this age. A special playground area was also created for our Pre-K and Kindergarten classes. 

 

St. John School offers a full-day Kindergarten program for children 5 years old prior to September 1st. The program is designed to be developmentally appropriate. Students participate in a combination of whole-class instruction and small group instructional centers. The curriculum uses a phonics-based approach.

 

Students in both Pre-K and Kindergarten also receive instruction in Music, Computers, Physical Education, Art, and Spanish as is age-appropriate.

 

The classroom curriculum is supplemented by special events throughout the year including field trips.
